IHEA membership is a badge of quality

Membership of IHEA is only open to providers that are registered and accredited by the national regulator TEQSA – the same regulator as Australian public universities. Membership is also conditional on continued compliance with IHEA’s Code of Good Practice built on regulatory compliance, strong governance, ethical business models, quality teaching, and student engagement.

Introduction

IHEA holds a unique position within the sector as the peak body of high quality higher education providers in Australia.

Membership of IHEA is only open to high quality providers. The Higher Education Standards Framework (HESF) and Australian Quality Framework (AQF) applies to all accredited higher education courses provided by IHEA members. Membership is also conditional on continued compliance with IHEA’s Code of Good Practice.

Our members operate from more than 70 campuses around Australia. They are diverse in size, funding base, organisational links and educational focus and they currently enrol more than 130,000 students in Australia.

IHEA members include some of the oldest and the newest higher education providers in Australia and offer programs, from undergraduate through to masters and doctoral studies, in a range of disciplines. Many IHEA members enrol international students and contribute significantly to this major Australian export industry.

IHEA Library Network

IHEA member institutions have access to our exclusive Library Network. Network members can subscribe to international leading academic libraries to provide the best learning resources for their students.

The subscription is implemented on a consortium basis with IHEA as the lead subscriber on behalf our our members.  This means excellent value for subscribing members.  Costs are calculated on the basis of products selected and enrolments. Trials are available from the vendors for all products.

IHEA’s academic libraries ensure students have access to the best learning resources.

Membership

Associate Membership
Available to aspiring higher education providers who are applying for registration with TEQSA.  Associate members can participate in IHEA professional events, building their sector networks and getting the best start to the provider journey and ongoing quality assurance.
