Christian Heritage College

At CHC, we believe that degrees do more than just inform, they transform. With undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Business, Education, the Liberal Arts, Ministries and Social Sciences, including Counselling, all studies are underpinned by a Christian worldview, offering unique perspectives on these disciplines. While our courses are taught from a Christian perspective, we welcome students from all backgrounds and traditions. CHC boasts amongst the highest graduate employment rates (91%), graduate satisfaction rates (93%) and student satisfaction rates (90%) in Australia (QILT). Our alumni are found in professions across the globe and some are best practice leaders in their chosen fields.

At CHC, we passionately believe that to educate – from ‘educe’, to bring out or develop – requires a process of formation and holistic development. To love God with your whole heart, soul and mind, and to love your neighbour as yourself, are the principles that guide our mission of offering higher education within a Christian vision of life, the outworking of which is through our understanding of a Christian worldview that underpins and informs all of our pursuits.

CHC courses are therefore not just about gaining a degree or a specific skill set for future employment (as important as these are), but the development of whole persons. Arthur Holmes once contended: The question to ask about education is not “What can I do with it?” but, rather, “What is it doing to me – as a person?” Education – good higher education – has to do with the making of persons. Small class sizes, individualised programs and quality one-on-one advice from lecturers supports and encourages students to achieve their best. The atmosphere of inclusion and shared aspirations makes life at CHC a rewarding experience, with many students continuing their association with the CHC community long after they graduate.

CHC is located in Brisbane’s south-east, in the leafy suburb of Carindale, just 10 kilometres from the CBD. It forms part of the 92-acre campus of one of Australia’s largest Christian churches, Citipointe Church, with Christian schooling and associated childcare centres onsite. Public transport is available within walking distance and bicycle and walking paths link the campus to surrounding suburbs. CHC also offers plenty of free parking.
