As part of the government’s Cost Recovery program, the Department of Education, Skills and Employment recently released its consultation paper on its proposed cost recovery model for CRICOS. TEQSA and ASQA will release their own cost recovery regimes for CRICOS related activity at a later date.
The IHEA submission reflects key member concerns around duplication of payments, the extra administrative burden on providers to ensure timely compliance, challenges associated with updates to the PRISMS system, and the fairness of the funding model for the proposed Overseas Student Ombudsman.
