TEQSA are implementing updates to their case management, finance, and other systems in preparation for changes to their fees and charges.
This will include upgrades and maintenance for their provider portal next month.
TEQSA have judged it best to conduct this work during January because some providers wish to finalise applications under current fee waivers before 31 December, plus January is traditionally the quietest month for portal use.
For your convenience, we are sharing this latest information from TEQSA as of 20 December 2022.
TEQSA Provider Portal Updates - What this Means for Providers
During January 2023, most CRICOS and TEQSA application forms will be temporarily unavailable.
The TEQSA website has the full list of forms that are scheduled to be taken offline. This list will be regularly updated during January as access to forms is restored.
Providers are encouraged to bookmark and check teqsa.gov.au/providerportal for updates.
New Applications
- Providers should not start any new applications that they intend to submit after 31 December 2022 using an existing form that has been scheduled for updates in January 2023.
- Providers should speak with the CRICOS team or your TEQSA case manager to discuss their institution’s needs.
In-Progress Applications
- TEQSA are aware that many providers are aiming to submit applications before 31 December 2022 to make use of the current fee waivers. For those doing that, TEQSA encourages providers to finalise and submit their applications before 5pm (AEDT) 31 December 2022.
- TEQSA is directly contacting providers who have applications in progress that the provider intends to submit after 31 December 2022 to discuss their needs.
TEQSA will be closed from 12:30pm (AEDT) 23 December 2022, reopening at 9am (AEDT) 3 January 2023. Calls or emails received during this time will be responded to when they return.
TEQSA have established a direct contact line for provider portal users to contact them during January with questions related to the upgrades and maintenance. You can call TEQSA on 03 8306 2405 during business hours (9am-5pm AEDT, Monday to Friday) from Tuesday 3 January 2023.
TEQSA apologise for any inconvenience this interruption to portal access may cause. TEQSA will be progressively restoring access to forms as work is completed in order to minimise these interruptions.
