The 'green shoots' of economy recovery are emerging with the announcement of the pilot programs of international student arrivals in NSW and Vic. A return to full scale for the industry is critical to a return to pre-pandemic economic prosperity for the whole Australian community.
IHEA CEO Simon Finn's opinion piece in The Australian this morning (print and online) proposes that abolishing the student loan tax applied only to independent sector students and deferring TEQSA full cost recovery will support the sector to recover the economy wide benefits of international education.
