Positive Perception of Australia’s Higher Education Sector: Navitas Education Agent Survey

The latest survey of 700+ education agents by Navitas shows an enormous improvement in Australia’s appeal to international students.

The Navitas Agent Perception Survey reveals that 79 per cent of agents perceive Australia as “open and welcoming” compared to 20 per cent in the previous survey in October 2021. Further, 81 per cent perceive Australia as “safe and stable” compared to a previous 49 per cent. The perception of the Australian "government’s handling of COVID" has risen to 65 per cent from 30 per cent.

A substantial increase of education agents also agreed that, in the past two months, there had been “more interest” in Australia as an education destination compared to other countries. A combined 73 per cent agreed or strongly agreed with the statement, compared to only 28 per cent in October 2021. The increase in interest is found across regions including the Americas, Australia New Zealand, Central Asia, Europe, Greater China, Sub-Saharan Africa, South Asia, and South East Asia.

After tough couple of years due to the Covid pandemic and its impacts, these results are a sign of optimism and recovery for Australia’s world class higher education sector.
